Osteopathy is manual therapy that is based on the principles that the body is a whole and not just a collection of pieces. Osteopathy emphasizes the relationship between structure and function. Treatment works towards optimal alignment of the body by removing restrictions, this helps to improve the movement of the body. Improvement in movement can optimize blood flow, lymphatic drainage and the ability of nerve signalling. This can lead to a reduction in symptoms which can include a reduction in pain, better sleep and increased energy and vitality.
Your practitioner will ask you questions about your health history to gain an understanding of your needs. You will be assessed and treated at every appointment and these two things often happen simultaneously. Your practitioner always keeps your concerns and presenting complaints top of mind, however because osteopathy views the body as a whole there will be times that areas of your body are being treated that you think may not relate to your concern. Trust us, everything is connected.
Please wear loose comfortable clothing that you can move in.
Please wear socks.

Osteopathy addresses dysfunction in the body, resulting from poor alignment and lack of symmetry. It works to improve blood flow, venous and lymphatic drainage and nerve impulses.
